
I'm a collector through and through, but I can't get angry at a company when their reality is that it would be wasting them thousands of dollars per volume. A company that takes risks and picks up more niche titles that might otherwise never see the light of day, even if they don't end up selling well enough to justify more than digital, is a model I want to support. But despite that they're still continuing to put them out, unlike say One Peace Books that seems to have immediately bailed on a series after a volume 1 failed to sell well. When I look at their catalog of titles, I see a lot of risk taking, and from bits that Sam has mentioned, a few ended up burning them.

You do realize that, given how long it took to be licensed in the first place, and that the anime had already long since aired, this is likely a situation where if they hadn't licensed it, it just wouldn't have been licensed at all.
